The Versa Bath Seat™ was developed because of the need to get my aging father in and out of the bathtub. Even as his health began to fail, he had a strong desire to remain in his home rather than move into an assisted living facility. My father’s caregivers were unable to lift him into the tub and I sustained a back injury while lifting him. I was determined to create a transfer bath seat that could benefit individuals who needed assistance for various reasons. There was no product on the market that was lightweight, affordable, adjustable, portable and required no assembly. Another consideration addressed in the design is the addition of the bidet feature that further enables individuals to bathe unassisted.

The Versa Bath Seat™ is the bath seat with a bidet. With assistance of Auburn University, NASA engineers, design engineers and mold and plastic experts the Versa Bath Seat™ was patented after five years of computer-aided-design cycles and prototype models. The Versa Bath Seat™ was tested by Intertek and meets ADA requirements. It is approved by the VA for purchase for their patients. At this time we are working toward having the Versa Bath Seat™ approved by Medicare/Medicaid.

The Versa-Bath Seat™ is the only seat in the industry that offers a bidet-like system creating water flow from the seat bottom to assist in the cleaning of private areas, increasing the users comfort and maintaining self-respect, privacy and dignity by providing complete and unassisted hygiene.
